Biodiesel Synthesis through the Non-Alcohol Route using the Immobilized Lipase Enzyme from Bacillus subtilis as Biocatalyst

چکیده

Biodiesel is one alternative energy that might be promising to substitute the petroleum-based fuel due its biodegradability and less toxic level. Biodiesel can synthesized through non-alcohol route by substituting alcohol with methyl acetate using lipase enzyme as Biocatalyst, which may give by-product during reaction. In this research, from Bacillus subtilis has been produced prepared in a crude, dry immobilized form. It used Biocatalyst for biodiesel synthesis. Several variables were investigated obtaining optimum condition producing biodiesel, including form of enzyme, variation molar ratio between oil acetate, concentration. The Bacillus subtilis loading was also calculated know how many percent successfully immobilized. will then compared Candida rugosa commercial lipase. Based on experimental, 1:12 concentration 2% gives highest yield among others, much 53.99%. This higher than conclusion, production.

Production and Characterization of Biodiesel Using Nonedible Castor Oil by Immobilized Lipase from Bacillus aerius

A novel thermotolerant lipase from Bacillus aerius was immobilized on inexpensive silica gel matrix. The immobilized lipase was used for the synthesis of biodiesel using castor oil as a substrate in a solvent free system at 55°C under shaking in a chemical reactor. Several crucial parameters affecting biodiesel yield such as incubation time, temperature, substrate molar ratio, and amount of lip...

Production of biodiesel using immobilized lipase--a critical review.

Increase in volume of biodiesel production in the world scenario proves that biodiesel is accepted as an alternative to conventional fuel. Production of biodiesel using alkaline catalyst has been commercially implemented due to its high conversion and low production time. For the product and process development of biodiesel, enzymatic transesterification has been suggested to produce a high pur...

Citronellyl Butyrate Synthesis in Non-Conventional Media Using Packed-Bed Immobilized Candida Rugosa Lipase Reactor

The synthesis of citronellyl butyrate by direct esterification reaction catalyzed by immobilized lipase from Candida rugosa was studied in a continuous packed bed reactor using n-hexane as organic solvent. Parameters such as residence time, temperature, and pH were examined. The optimum conversion was obtained at a flow rate of 1 ml/min (residence time 8 min), temperature of 50 °C, and pH 7.5. ...

Enzymatic synthesis of isopropyl myristate using immobilized lipase from Bacillus cereus MTCC 8372.

A purified alkaline thermo-tolerant bacterial lipase from Bacillus cereus MTCC 8372 was immobilized on a Poly (MAc-co-DMA-cl-MBAm) hydrogel. The hydrogel showed approximately 94% binding capacity for lipase. The immobilized lipase (2.36 IU) was used to achieve esterification ofmyristic acid and isopropanol in n-heptane at 65 degrees C under continuous shaking. The myristic acid and isopropanol ...

Artificial Neural Network Analysis of immobilized lipase catalyzed Synthesis of biodiesel from Rapeseed Soapstock

Refined vegetable oils are the predominant feedstocks for the production of biodiesel. However, their relatively high costs render the resulting fuels unable to compete with petroleum-derived fuel. Artificial neural network (ANN) analysis of immobilized Candida rugosa lipase (CRL) on chitosan catalyzed preparation of biodiesel from rapeseed soapstock with methanol was carried out. Methanol subs...
